We all wish we could download Masterclass videos so we can watch them anytime, anywhere.
But is it actually possible to download Masterclass videos to your computer or mobile device? And what about accompanying other course materials?
The answer is: it depends. Depending on the plan you have and the course you want to download, you may or may not be able to do so. In the guide below, I’ll try to bring some clarity to this so you can finally find out if you can download Masterclass videos legally for offline viewing.
Why Would You Need to Download Masterclass Videos?
Before I talk about whether or not you can actually download Masterclass videos, let’s talk a bit about why someone might want to do so in the first place.
Some people might want to download Masterclass video lessons for offline viewing because they have a limited internet data plan, or they’re traveling and don’t want to use up their data allowance.
Others might want to download Masterclass videos so they can watch them without an internet connection.
Finally, some people might want to download Masterclass videos so they can keep them on their computer or mobile device for future reference, potentially after they’ve ended their membership.
Now that we know why someone might want to download Masterclass video lessons, it’s time to answer the big question…
Can You Download Masterclass Videos?
While you can’t download Masterclass videos directly to your computer, you can save select video lessons for offline viewing on your iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile device if you have a Plus or Premium subscription. If you only have the Standard plan, you won’t be able to download any videos.
You can also download most other course materials on your computer or mobile device.
It’s also worth pointing out that Masterclass recently added the option for Plus and Premium users to download lessons in audio-only format as well so they can listen to classes on a drive.
According to the Masterclass website, not all courses are available for download for offline viewing on iOS and Android devices. In some cases, the company doesn’t have the legal rights to offer downloads for offline viewing of the videos.
How to Download Masterclass Videos for Offline Viewing on iOS and Android Devices
If you want to download select video lessons from a Masterclass course for offline viewing on your Android device, iPhone, or iPad, here’s how:
First, open up the Masterclass app and go to the course you want to download videos from for offline viewing.
Scroll down to the video lessons, and if offline viewing is available, you’ll see a download button available at the bottom of each video like below:
Just click the download button, and the video will save to your device where you can watch your Masterclass download offline.
I’ve gone through this exact process several times when downloading lessons to watch later on a flight, and it’s incredibly straightforward and easy to do.
What Masterclass Materials Can You Download on Computers?
While you aren’t able to download Masterclass videos on your computer, you can download most other course materials, including transcripts, cheat sheets, and worksheets.
However, you won’t be able to download any accompanying video lessons or lectures — just the class materials.
And while you might see some people suggesting workarounds to download Masterclass videos to your computer, those methods are not legal and could get you in trouble.

Final Thoughts
